Coercive regulations
A pessimist might say that government regulations are difficult to obey by design.
Samples of regulations:
- tax policy (the US federal tax corpus is over a million words)
- home construction permitting
- carrying firearms
If you violate a government’s regulation then you and your property are at risk of being coercively brought to heel.
The reality is a little more complex, as governments compete for market-share.
Evil governments create brain drain, liberal governments are brain magnets.
