Purisima Creek

A local running store organizes free running events for the community, often in partnership with a running shoe brand.

This past summer was a series of trail runs at local parks, and I joined for one at Purisima Creek, a San Mateo County park.

We stopped to re-group, to ensure people at varying paces did not get lost on the 8-mile loop.

Then the ascent began–quite long, but kept at it:

The subsequent days I had serious soreness in my legs–mostly from the descent portion, I believe.

Gotta do this more often!
